The color model a descriptor’s samples are interpreted in.

Samples are sRGB once opened: an embedded ICC profile is converted on open or carried beside the pixels (SPEC §Pixel formats, ADR-0015). The enum exists so that other working spaces are an added variant rather than a breaking descriptor change.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
