Struct opentelemetry_datadog::DatadogPropagator[][src]

pub struct DatadogPropagator { /* fields omitted */ }

Extracts and injects SpanContexts into Extractors or Injectors using Datadog’s header format.

The Datadog header format does not have an explicit spec, but can be divined from the client libraries, such as dd-trace-go

Example

use opentelemetry::global;
use opentelemetry_datadog::DatadogPropagator;

global::set_text_map_propagator(DatadogPropagator::default());

Implementations

impl DatadogPropagator[src]

pub fn new() -> Self[src]

Creates a new DatadogPropagator.

impl TextMapPropagator for DatadogPropagator[src]

fn inject_context(&self, cx: &Context, injector: &mut dyn Injector)[src]

fn extract_with_context(
    &self,
    cx: &Context,
    extractor: &dyn Extractor
) -> Context
[src]

Retrieves encoded data using the provided Extractor. If no data for this format was retrieved OR if the retrieved data is invalid, then the given Context is returned. Read more

fn fields(&self) -> FieldIter<'_>[src]

Returns iter of fields used by TextMapPropagator Read more

fn inject(&self, injector: &mut dyn Injector)[src]

Properly encodes the values of the current Context and injects them into the Injector. Read more

fn extract(&self, extractor: &dyn Extractor) -> Context[src]

Retrieves encoded data using the provided Extractor. If no data for this format was retrieved OR if the retrieved data is invalid, then the current Context is returned. Read more
