Compression codec applied to a <binaryDataArray>’s <binary> payload by the mzML writer.

Selects both the bytes actually written (compressed or not) and the matching PSI-MS cvParam. Zlib is the default; select another codec with WriteOptions::with_compression.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.

NoCompression

No compression: MS:1000576 (“no compression”).

Zlib

DEFLATE/zlib compression: MS:1000574 (“zlib compression”).
