BufferCursor

Struct BufferCursor

Source
pub struct BufferCursor { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

BufferCursor is a Read + Seek cursor for Buffer, analogous to std::io::Cursor.

BufferCursor supports seeking over potentially non-contiguous bytes in a Buffer. It is useful when seekability is required, such as when interfacing with archiving and compression libraries, while maintaining zero-copy semantics.

§Features

§Examples

use bytes::Bytes;
use opendal_core::{Buffer, BufferCursor};
use std::io::{Read, Seek, SeekFrom};

fn test() -> std::io::Result<()> {
    let mut cur = BufferCursor::new(Buffer::from(vec![
        Bytes::from("abc"),
        Bytes::from("def"),
    ]));

    cur.seek(SeekFrom::Start(3))?;

    let mut out = vec![];
    cur.read_to_end(&mut out); // def

    cur.seek(SeekFrom::Start(0))?;

    let mut out = vec![];
    cur.read_to_end(&mut out); // abcdef

    Ok(())
}
