Which of five states one check is in, as Check::state classifies it.

Exported so a consumer holds its own copy of “what reads as green” to this declaration rather than to a list it keeps beside it. Serialized kebab-case, which is how the change-check event’s state, the checks-settled event and onevcs status spell it.

Passed

Concluded success or neutral.

Failed

Concluded in a way that blocks a merge: every settled conclusion not named by another state.

Skipped

Concluded skipped: it did not run, and it is never read as passed.

Pending

Not settled yet.

NoVerdict

Concluded cancelled or stale: the host ended the run with no verdict.
