Expand description

AutoFillRequest — the crate’s only autoFill request (issue #1840, ADR-0083 §1).

Extends a series from source cells into an adjacent destination, computed entirely by Sheets’ own pattern-detection heuristics: this crate never sees or predicts the filled values — see auto_fill.rs’s module docs for what --dry-run can and cannot say about it.

Exactly one of Self::range/Self::source_and_destination is set, mirroring the API’s own oneof; auto_fill.rs::build_request is the one site that enforces it.

Fields§

§range: Option<GridRange>

Form A (--range): the whole region. Sheets examines it and decides for itself which cells are the source and which are filled — so, unlike form B, the destination this writes is only ever knowable as an upper bound before the request is sent.

§source_and_destination: Option<SourceAndDestination>

Form B (--source/--dimension/--fill-length): an explicit source range extended by a caller-chosen length and direction, so the destination is computable client-side.

§use_alternate_series: bool

Fills using the alternate series Sheets would not otherwise choose (--alternate-series) — e.g. a copy instead of a linear progression for a plain numeric run, or vice versa. Always sent explicitly, matching this file’s other always-present booleans (e.g. DimensionGroup::collapsed) rather than being omitted when false.
