TodoList

Struct TodoList

Source
pub struct TodoList {
    pub todos: BTreeMap<String, Todo>,
}
Expand description

An ordered collection of Todo items keyed by their UUID.

Supports file-based I/O (TOML) and database-backed operations via the database module.

Fields§

§todos: BTreeMap<String, Todo>

Implementations§

Source§

impl TodoList

Source

pub async fn sync_to_db(&self, pool: &SqlitePool) -> Result<()>

Synchronize all in-memory todos to the database.

Deletes database rows whose IDs are not present in the in-memory map, then performs an upsert (INSERT … ON CONFLICT DO UPDATE) for each remaining todo in a single transaction. This ensures that the database exactly reflects the current state of the in-memory TodoList.

§Arguments
  • pool - SQLite connection pool
§Errors

Returns an error if the transaction fails.

Source

pub async fn load_from_db(&mut self, pool: &SqlitePool) -> Result<()>

Load all todos from the database into memory.

Replaces the current in-memory todo map with all rows from the todos table.

§Arguments
  • pool - SQLite connection pool
§Errors

Returns an error if the query fails.

Source

pub async fn find_by_content( pool: &SqlitePool, content: &str, ) -> Result<Option<Todo>>

Find a todo by its content.

§Arguments
  • pool - Database connection pool
  • content - Content to search for
§Returns

Returns the Todo if found, None otherwise.

Source§

impl TodoList

Source

pub fn new() -> TodoList

Create an empty todo list.

Source

pub fn read_from_file(file_path: &str) -> Result<TodoList>

Read a todo list from a TOML file.

Returns an empty list if the file does not exist or cannot be parsed.

Source

pub fn write_to_file(&self, file_path: &str) -> Result<()>

Write the todo list to a TOML file.

Source

pub async fn add_todo_db( &mut self, content: String, pool: &SqlitePool, ) -> Result<()>

Add a new todo via the database, skipping if content already exists.

Source

pub async fn finish_todo_db( &mut self, content: String, pool: &SqlitePool, ) -> Result<()>

Mark a todo as finished by searching its content in the database.

Source

pub async fn edit_todo_db( &mut self, before: String, after: String, pool: &SqlitePool, ) -> Result<()>

Edit a todo’s content by searching for the old value in the database.

Source

pub async fn clean_todo_db(&mut self, pool: &SqlitePool) -> Result<()>

Remove all finished todos from both the database and in-memory map.

Source

pub fn list_todos(&self)

Print all todos to stdout.
