pub struct EncryptedMessage {
pub group_id: GroupId,
pub message_type: MlsMessageType,
pub epoch: u64,
pub ciphertext: Vec<u8>,
pub sender_id: String,
pub timestamp_ms: u64,
}Expand description
The sealed-envelope types, re-exported so that every path into them keeps working and there is still exactly one definition of each.
They live in offline-protocol-sealed because a leaf node encodes and
decodes the same envelope this crate does, and cannot link this crate:
this one is built on OpenMLS, which needs std. See ADR 0022.
An encrypted MLS message ready for transport.
Fields§
§group_id: GroupIdThe group ID this message belongs to.
message_type: MlsMessageTypeType of MLS message.
epoch: u64Current epoch when the message was created.
ciphertext: Vec<u8>Serialized MLS message bytes.
sender_id: StringSender’s user ID.
timestamp_ms: u64Timestamp when the message was created.
Implementations§
Source§impl EncryptedMessage
impl EncryptedMessage
Sourcepub fn to_base64(&self) -> Result<String, SealedError>
pub fn to_base64(&self) -> Result<String, SealedError>
Encodes the encrypted message to base64 for transport.
Sourcepub fn from_base64(encoded: &str) -> Result<EncryptedMessage, SealedError>
pub fn from_base64(encoded: &str) -> Result<EncryptedMessage, SealedError>
Decodes an encrypted message from base64.
Sourcepub fn to_bytes(&self) -> Vec<u8> ⓘ
pub fn to_bytes(&self) -> Vec<u8> ⓘ
Serializes to a compact binary format, avoiding base64/JSON overhead.
JSON renders ciphertext as an integer array (~3.7x inflation), which
is unacceptable for large payloads such as encrypted file chunks.
Wire format (all multi-byte integers are little-endian):
[group_id_len:4][group_id][sender_len:4][sender_id]
[message_type:1][epoch:8][timestamp_ms:8]
[ciphertext_len:4][ciphertext]Sourcepub fn from_bytes(data: &[u8]) -> Result<EncryptedMessage, SealedError>
pub fn from_bytes(data: &[u8]) -> Result<EncryptedMessage, SealedError>
Deserializes from the compact binary format produced by to_bytes.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

are pithier.
§Example

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};

Enables the yansi Quirk value.

builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
