pub struct ReplyContext {
pub sender: UserId,
pub text: String,
pub timestamp: Option<Timestamp>,
pub reply_media_label: Option<String>,
pub reply_content_type: Option<String>,
}Expand description
Quoted-reply context for rendering a reply preview without a local copy of the original message.
Trust model: like ForwardInfo, this is an unverified display-level
hint copied by the sending client. A malicious client can forge any field.
UI layers should treat this as a display-level hint and must not rely on
it for access-control or security decisions.
On an MLS-encrypted message this outer field additionally sits outside
the AEAD boundary (any relay hop can inject or rewrite it in transit),
so the protocol layer drops it on decryption: it never surfaces on an
encrypted: true event. The end-to-end-sealed envelope is the only
trusted carrier for reply context on encrypted messages.
