Every one of these is raised before the document is touched, so a refused call leaves the previous revision intact.

Variants

StaleVersion

The batch’s version does not advance on the current one, so it describes a revision that has already been overtaken.

The version the batch claimed.

current: i64

The version the document is already at.

InvalidSpan

A change is inverted, starts before its predecessor ends, or reaches past the end of the document.

InvalidPosition

The line does not exist, or character does not land on a boundary of the encoding it was counted in.
