ServiceError

Enum ServiceError

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum ServiceError { EndpointOutsideIssuer { endpoint: &'static str, url: String, }, DuplicatePath { path: String, }, MetadataNotSerializable { detail: String, }, JwksNotSerializable { detail: String, }, }
Available on crate feature http only.
Expand description

Why a router could not be built. Every variant is a host configuration mistake that would otherwise become a runtime 404 on an endpoint the metadata document promises. #[non_exhaustive]: this type’s shape already varies with the cargo features a host enables, so an exhaustive match on it was never portable between builds of this crate.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

EndpointOutsideIssuer

An advertised endpoint is not under the issuer, so this router cannot serve it. The host is either fronting a separate service or has a typo; either way, silently not routing it would publish a promise nothing keeps.

Fields

§endpoint: &'static str

The RFC 8414 member name.

§url: String

The URL as advertised.

§

DuplicatePath

Two endpoints resolved to the same path, so one would shadow the other.

Fields

§path: String

The path claimed twice.

§

MetadataNotSerializable

The metadata document could not be serialized. Structurally impossible for the derived document, but reported rather than panicked: a library does not abort a host’s process.

Fields

§detail: String

The serializer’s message.

§

JwksNotSerializable

Available on crate feature jwt only.

The RFC 7517 key set could not be serialized. As structurally impossible as the metadata case, and reported for the same reason.

Fields

§detail: String

The serializer’s message.
