A chunk ready for embedding. Each chunk corresponds to one row in the embeddings table.

Fields

source_type: String

Source type tag: “symbol”, “doc”, “commit”, or “cluster”.

source_path: String

Relative file path containing the source.

source_id: Option<i64>

FK into the symbols table (rowid) if this is a symbol chunk.

text: String

The text passed to the embedding model.

last_commit: Option<String>

Git HEAD SHA at construction time (for incremental invalidation).

staleness: f32

Staleness score in [0, 1] – higher means less trustworthy.
