Top-level server configuration.
Fields§
§listen: SocketAddrAddress to bind the native wire protocol listener.
pg_listen: SocketAddrAddress to bind the PostgreSQL wire protocol listener. Defaults to 127.0.0.1:5432.
http_listen: SocketAddrAddress to bind the HTTP API (health, metrics, REST). Defaults to 127.0.0.1:8080.
data_dir: PathBufData directory for WAL, segments, and indexes.
data_plane_cores: usizeNumber of Data Plane cores. Defaults to available CPUs minus one (reserving one core for the Control Plane).
memory_limit: usizeGlobal memory ceiling in bytes. The memory governor enforces this.
max_connections: usizeMaximum concurrent client connections across all listeners. Enforced at accept time via a shared semaphore — no permit means immediate TCP RST. Prevents connection floods from exhausting memory before per-tenant quotas kick in (those are checked post-authentication). 0 = unlimited (not recommended for production).
engines: EngineConfigPer-engine budget configuration.
auth: AuthConfigAuthentication and authorization configuration.
tls: Option<TlsSettings>Client TLS configuration. If present, pgwire connections support SSL.
encryption: Option<EncryptionSettings>Encryption at rest configuration. If present, WAL payloads are encrypted.
log_format: StringLog output format: “text” (default, human-readable) or “json” (structured).
checkpoint: CheckpointSettingsCheckpoint and WAL management settings.
resp_listen: Option<SocketAddr>Address to bind the RESP (Redis-compatible) KV protocol listener. Disabled by default (None). Enable for Redis-compatible key-value access. Default port: 6381 (distinct from Redis’s 6379).
ilp_listen: Option<SocketAddr>Address to bind the ILP (InfluxDB Line Protocol) TCP listener. Disabled by default (None). Enable for timeseries ingest. Standard InfluxDB port: 8086.
cluster: Option<ClusterSettings>Cluster mode settings. When present, the node participates in a distributed cluster via Multi-Raft consensus over QUIC transport. When absent, runs in single-node mode (default).
cold_storage: Option<ColdStorageSettings>Cold storage (L2 tiering) configuration. When present, old L1 segments are promoted to S3-compatible cold storage.
tuning: TuningConfigPerformance tuning knobs for engines, query execution, WAL, bridge,
network, and cluster transport. All fields have sensible defaults;
override selectively via the [tuning] TOML section.
observability: ObservabilityConfigObservability integrations: PromQL, OTLP receiver/export.
Requires corresponding cargo features (promql, otel) at compile time.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);Set foreground color to white using white().

Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

Source§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
