ShareCapability

Enum ShareCapability

Source
pub enum ShareCapability {
    Shared,
    PerScenario,
    PerPhase,
    PerFiber,
}
Expand description

Strongest sharing the resource type can tolerate. Declared by the factory at registration time so the pool can plan the entry layout without configuring or instantiating any resource. The live instance’s SharedResource::can_share is a runtime safety net that aborts the session if it disagrees with this type-level declaration.

The variants order from most-shared to most-isolated; PartialOrd semantics let the pool check policy ≥ capability with a single comparison.

Variants§

§

Shared

Safe to share one instance across every adapter shell in the workload that produces an equal key. CQL, HTTP-with-pool, OpenAPI typically.

§

PerScenario

One instance per scenario subtree. Use when state changes during the run that mustn’t bleed across scenarios (auth tokens, schema versions per scenario).

§

PerPhase

One instance per phase. Use when each phase legitimately wants a fresh state object.

§

PerFiber

One instance per fiber. Use only when the resource type is Send but not Sync, or when the underlying library mandates single-threaded use.
