A material to create or edit in the material library. name keys the
material; every other field is optional and only the set ones are written, so
editing leaves untouched fields (including textures) intact.
Fields§
§name: String§base_color: Option<[f32; 4]>Linear RGBA albedo.
metallic: Option<f32>§roughness: Option<f32>§emissive_factor: Option<[f32; 3]>§emissive_strength: Option<f32>§unlit: Option<bool>§double_sided: Option<bool>§base_texture: Option<String>Name of an already-loaded texture for the base-color map. Built-in prototype textures are always available: “proto_light”, “proto_dark”, “proto_green”, “proto_orange”, “proto_purple”, “proto_red” (grid greybox textures).
tiling: Option<f32>How many times the base texture repeats across a surface. Higher tiles the pattern more finely; set it near a surface’s size in units (e.g. 6 for a 6-unit wall) so a greybox grid reads as roughly one cell per unit. Applied when a base_texture is set; defaults to a small value.
normal_texture: Option<String>Name of an already-loaded texture for the normal map.
normal_scale: Option<f32>Normal map intensity multiplier (1 is full strength).
metallic_roughness_texture: Option<String>Name of an already-loaded texture for the metallic (B) / roughness (G) map.
emissive_texture: Option<String>Name of an already-loaded texture for the emissive map.
occlusion_texture: Option<String>Name of an already-loaded texture for the ambient-occlusion (R) map.
occlusion_strength: Option<f32>Occlusion effect strength (0 none, 1 full).
alpha_mode: Option<String>Transparency handling: one of “Opaque”, “Mask”, “Blend”.
alpha_cutoff: Option<f32>Alpha threshold for the “Mask” alpha mode.
