Fields

max_per_workspace: usize

Maximum saved conversations per workspace. Default: 100. 0 = no pruning.

resume: bool

Auto-resume this workspace’s most recently active conversation at TUI session start (Step 17.7, issue #246). “Most recently active” means the highest §6 activity tick — never a wall-clock comparison.

Default: true. The off-switch:

[conversations]
resume = false      # always start fresh

Per-session overrides win over this key either way: --ephemeral (no persistence at all) and NEWT_CONVERSATION_ID=<id> (resume exactly that conversation).
