Struct OsHint

Source
pub struct OsHint {
    pub family: String,
    pub detail: Option<String>,
    pub evidence: Vec<String>,
}
Expand description

A best guess at a host’s operating system, and the clues behind it.

Fields§

§family: String

Windows, Linux, macOS or iOS, FreeBSD, Unix-like or Network device.

§detail: Option<String>

More precise, when a clue said: Windows 11 or Server 2025 (build 26100), Ubuntu.

§evidence: Vec<String>

Every clue that pointed somewhere, strongest first, each naming its source: SMB: Windows 10.0 build 26100, TTL 128.

Implementations§

Source§

impl OsHint

Source

pub fn summary(&self) -> String

One line for display: the detail, with the family in front when the detail doesn’t already say it (Linux, Debian, but not Windows, Windows 11 ...).
