One CARP advertisement (OpenBSD struct carp_header).
CARP is not VRRP. It shares only the IP protocol number. There is no CARP RFC; the
layout below is taken from OpenBSD’s sys/netinet/ip_carp.h:
0 version(4) | type(4) = 0x21 — the same first octet as a VRRPv2 advertisement
1 carp_vhid virtual host id
2 carp_advskew advertisement skew; LOWER WINS, the inverse of VRRP
3 carp_authlen 32-bit words of counter + HMAC, always 7
4 carp_demote demotion counter
5 carp_advbase advertisement base interval, whole seconds
6.. 8 carp_cksum one's-complement checksum over these 36 octets
8..16 carp_counter 64-bit replay counter, big-endian on the wire
16..36 carp_md HMAC-SHA1The election runs on advbase + advskew/256 seconds: the host that advertises soonest
wins, so a lower skew is stronger. That is the opposite direction from VRRP’s
priority, and it is the single easiest thing to get backwards when treating the two as one
protocol.

Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and

but are pithier.
§Example

§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():

👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().

The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:

painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);Source§impl<T> Pipe for Twhere
