pub struct RequestFilter { /* private fields */ }Expand description
A per-server request allowlist parsed from startup_params.
With no rules the filter is “pass-through”: every request is forwarded to the LLM (unchanged default behavior).
Implementations§
Source§impl RequestFilter
impl RequestFilter
Sourcepub fn from_startup_params(params: Option<&Value>) -> Self
pub fn from_startup_params(params: Option<&Value>) -> Self
Parse a filter from a server’s startup_params.
Fail-open by design. A missing request_filter yields a pass-through
filter, and any individual malformed rule (or invalid path regex) is
skipped rather than failing the whole server. The consequence is worth
stating plainly: if every rule you wrote is malformed, the filter ends up
empty and every request reaches the LLM — slow and billable — instead
of being rejected. Server startup is never failed on a bad filter, so the
only signal is loud logging plus RequestFilter::warnings; callers are
expected to forward those to the status channel.
Sourcepub fn default_response_parts(
&self,
) -> Option<(u16, Vec<(String, String)>, String)>
pub fn default_response_parts( &self, ) -> Option<(u16, Vec<(String, String)>, String)>
The configured default_response as (status, headers, body), or None
to keep the empty-200 default. Used by build_response when the model
produced no send_http_response.
Sourcepub fn warnings(&self) -> &[String]
pub fn warnings(&self) -> &[String]
Problems found while parsing the filter config (empty when it is clean). Every one of these means the filter is doing less than the caller asked.
Sourcepub fn is_pass_through(&self) -> bool
pub fn is_pass_through(&self) -> bool
True when no rules are configured — every request goes to the LLM.
Sourcepub fn allows(&self, req: &RequestData, path: &str) -> bool
pub fn allows(&self, req: &RequestData, path: &str) -> bool
Should this request be forwarded to the LLM?

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to

This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():

are pithier.
§Example

Source§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};

Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>

The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);Source§impl<T> Pipe for Twhere
