One HSRP advertisement, version-independent.
Times are held in seconds in both versions. v1 carries seconds on the wire; v2 carries
milliseconds and this struct converts at the edge, so nothing above the codec has to
remember which unit a given version uses. The cost is that v2’s sub-second timers are not
expressible; CLAUDE.md records that.
Fields§
§version: HsrpVersion§opcode: Opcode§state: HsrpState§hellotime_secs: u32§holdtime_secs: u32§priority: u32§group: u16§auth_data: Option<String>Plaintext authentication string, trailing NULs stripped. None means the v2 message
carried no Text Authentication TLV. A v1 message always has the field, so None there
means it was all zeros.
virtual_ip: IpAddr§identifier: [u8; 6]v2 only: the sender’s 6-byte identifier, in practice its MAC. Zero for v1.
md5_auth: Option<Md5Auth>v2 only, parse direction only.

fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():

are pithier.
§Example

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example

pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():

Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
