pub struct Encoder { /* private fields */ }Expand description
Writer for AMQP method arguments and property lists.
Implementations§
Source§impl Encoder
impl Encoder
pub fn new() -> Self
pub fn u8(&mut self, v: u8)
pub fn u16(&mut self, v: u16)
pub fn u32(&mut self, v: u32)
pub fn u64(&mut self, v: u64)
Sourcepub fn short_string(&mut self, s: &str) -> Result<()>
pub fn short_string(&mut self, s: &str) -> Result<()>
shortstr: one length octet then that many bytes. Refuses anything longer than
MAX_SHORT_STRING_LEN, leaving the buffer untouched.
This used to truncate at a UTF-8 char boundary, which is the encode_apn shape: a
name shortened to fit is not an error the caller can see, it is a well-formed name for
something else. shortstr carries queue names, exchange names, routing keys, consumer
tags and every field-table key, so the cost is a queue declared under one name and
bound under another — measured, not theorised: two table keys differing only past
octet 255 collapsed into one entry and a value was lost.
Not reachable from the wire — Decoder::short_string reads a one-octet length and
so cannot produce more than 255 bytes — which means the source is the model or NetGet
itself, and both want to be told.
Sourcepub fn reply_text(&mut self, text: &str)
pub fn reply_text(&mut self, text: &str)
shortstr for the one AMQP field that carries free-form prose rather than an
identifier: reply-text, in connection.close and channel.close.
Shortened at a UTF-8 char boundary instead of refused, and the distinction is
deliberate. A shortened name is a believable different name; a shortened
diagnostic is the same diagnostic with less of it, and nothing keys off it. The
alternative — refusing — means not sending the close frame at all, so a peer that
provoked a long error message would be left waiting on a connection NetGet has already
given up on. Never reach for this for a queue, exchange, routing key, consumer tag or
table key: those go through Encoder::short_string and are meant to fail loudly.
pub fn long_string(&mut self, bytes: &[u8])
pub fn bits(&mut self, bits: &[bool])
Sourcepub fn field_table(&mut self, value: &Value) -> Result<()>
pub fn field_table(&mut self, value: &Value) -> Result<()>
Encode a JSON object as a field table. Non-object input encodes as an empty table.
Refuses a key longer than a shortstr and a table nested past
MAX_FIELD_TABLE_DEPTH. Either refusal leaves this encoder’s buffer exactly as it
was: a half-written table is worse than none, because the length prefix in front of it
would then describe bytes that are not there and desynchronise every argument after it
in the same method frame.

builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example

fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():

Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:

painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);Source§impl<T> Pipe for Twhere
