Resolve a caller-supplied client protocol name to the registry’s canonical key, accepting any casing (and the registry’s keyword aliases).
CLIENT_REGISTRY is keyed by each protocol’s own spelling — “TCP”, “Redis”,
“HTTP” — so a plain get("tcp") misses. This mirrors what
server_startup::start_server_from_action gets from
ServerRegistry::parse_from_str.
