ProtocolVersion

Struct ProtocolVersion

Source
pub struct ProtocolVersion(/* private fields */);
Expand description

Protocol version wrapper with validation.

Provides structured version checking as an alternative to comparing against PROTOCOL_VERSION directly. The engine currently validates versions inline, but consumers that prefer a typed wrapper can use this.

Implementations§

Source§

impl ProtocolVersion

Source

pub fn new(version: u32) -> Self

Create a new protocol version.

Source

pub fn version(&self) -> u32

Get the version number.

Source

pub fn is_compatible(&self) -> bool

Check if this version is compatible with the current protocol. Accepts any version in the range [MIN_PROTOCOL_VERSION, PROTOCOL_VERSION].

Source

pub fn validate(&self) -> Result<()>

Validate that this version is compatible, returning an error if not.

impl PartialEq for ProtocolVersion

Source§

fn eq(&self, other: &ProtocolVersion) -> bool

Tests for self and other values to be equal, and is used by ==.
1.0.0 · Source§

fn ne(&self, other: &Rhs) -> bool

Tests for !=. The default implementation is almost always sufficient, and should not be overridden without very good reason.
