HostnameFlags

Struct HostnameFlags

Source
pub struct HostnameFlags(/* private fields */);
Expand description

Flags controlling hostname verification behaviour during certificate checks.

Passed to SslCtxBuilder::<Client>::verify_hostname_flags. Combine flags using HostnameFlags::or.

These map directly to the X509_CHECK_FLAG_* constants defined in <openssl/x509_vfy.h>.

Implementations§

Source§

impl HostnameFlags

Source

pub const NONE: Self

No special hostname flags (default OpenSSL behaviour).

Source

pub const NO_PARTIAL_WILDCARDS: Self

Disallow partial wildcards like *.example.* — only single trailing-label wildcards such as *.example.com are permitted.

Maps to X509_CHECK_FLAG_NO_PARTIAL_WILDCARDS (0x4).

Source

pub const MULTI_LABEL_WILDCARDS: Self

Allow wildcards to match multiple labels (e.g. *.foo.example.com).

Maps to X509_CHECK_FLAG_MULTI_LABEL_WILDCARDS (0x8).

Source

pub fn or(self, other: Self) -> Self

Combine two flag values with bitwise OR.
