Fields

instance_id: String

32 hex digits, random per process start.

acquired_at: String

RFC 3339, the holder’s clock, when it took the lease.

renewed_at: String

RFC 3339, the holder’s clock, when it last renewed.

ttl_s: u64

How long after renewed_at the lease stays the holder’s. The holder’s value governs, whatever a contender’s own TTL is.

Whether the lease is still its holder’s at now. A renewed_at in the future (the holder’s clock runs ahead) is fresh; one that does not parse is not.

pub fn is_suspect(&self, now: OffsetDateTime) -> bool

Whether the record cannot be trusted to expire on time: renewed more than its own TTL in the future, or with a TTL over MAX_SANE_TTL_S.
