Each role maps to different cost/capability trade-offs:

• Thinking: expensive but strongest reasoning
• Coding: optimized for code generation
• Task: cheap and fast for simple operations
• Embedding: vector embeddings (usually local/free)
• Auditor: security review (usually local/free)

Variants

Thinking

Deep thinking, analysis, decision-making — uses the strongest model.

Coding

Code generation, refactoring, fixing — uses a code-optimized model.

Task

General tasks (search, classification, summarization) — cheap and fast.

Embedding

Vector embeddings for semantic search — typically local/free.

Auditor

Security auditing via a secondary model — typically local/free.
