Codex32String

Struct Codex32String

Source
pub struct Codex32String(/* private fields */);
Expand description

A codex32 string, containing a valid checksum

Cycle-B P2 (the ONLY behavioral change vs upstream): the inner secret String is scrubbed on drop via zeroize::ZeroizeOnDrop, and Debug is hand-rolled length-only (the upstream derived Debug echoed the full secret — the L22-class footgun). Clone/PartialEq/Eq/Hash are RETAINED (load-bearing: interpolate_at’s self-return clone, combine_shares’s derived != parsed[j] compare, source-compat). The encoding bodies are UNTOUCHED.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Codex32String

Source

pub fn from_unchecksummed_string(s: String) -> Result<Self, Error>

Construct a codex32 string from a not-yet-checksummed string

Source

pub fn from_string(s: String) -> Result<Self, Error>

Construct a codex32 string from an already-checksummed string

Source

pub fn parts(&self) -> Parts<'_>

Break the string up into its constituent parts

Source

pub fn interpolate_at( shares: &[Codex32String], target: Fe, ) -> Result<Codex32String, Error>

Interpolate a set of shares to derive a share at a specific index.

Using the index Fe::S will recover the master seed.

Source

pub fn from_seed( hrp: &str, threshold: usize, id: &str, share_idx: Fe, data: &[u8], ) -> Result<Codex32String, Error>

Creates a S share from bare seed data

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl Clone for Codex32String

Source§

fn clone(&self) -> Codex32String

Returns a duplicate of the value. Read more
1.0.0 (const: unstable) · Source§

fn clone_from(&mut self, source: &Self)

Performs copy-assignment from source. Read more
Source§

impl Debug for Codex32String

Source§

fn fmt(&self, f: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Redacting: NEVER echoes the secret string (the upstream derived Debug leaked it). Length-only — enough to debug a length/shape bug, nothing of the payload. The char-count is non-sensitive (ms1 lengths are a small public set).

Source§

impl Display for Codex32String

Source§

fn fmt(&self, f: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Formats the value using the given formatter. Read more

impl Drop for Codex32String

Source§

fn drop(&mut self)

Executes the destructor for this type. Read more
Source§

fn pin_drop(self: Pin<&mut Self>)

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (pin_ergonomics)
Execute the destructor for this type, but different to Drop::drop, it requires self to be pinned. Read more

impl Hash for Codex32String

Source§

fn hash<__H: Hasher>(&self, state: &mut __H)

Feeds this value into the given Hasher. Read more
1.3.0 · Source§

fn hash_slice<H>(data: &[Self], state: &mut H)
where H: Hasher, Self: Sized,

Feeds a slice of this type into the given Hasher. Read more
Source§

impl PartialEq for Codex32String

Source§

fn eq(&self, other: &Codex32String) -> bool

Tests for self and other values to be equal, and is used by ==.
1.0.0 (const: unstable) · Source§

fn ne(&self, other: &Rhs) -> bool

Tests for !=. The default implementation is almost always sufficient, and should not be overridden without very good reason.
