ResyncLoss

Struct ResyncLoss

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct ResyncLoss { pub offset: u64, pub dropped_bytes: u64, pub packet_index: u64, pub truncated_tail: bool, }
Expand description

One span of bytes the resynchroniser discarded after it had locked (the stream lost sync mid-way, or ended on a truncated packet).

Drained with TsResync::take_losses; one entry per lost-sync event, so a caller can report each skipped unit exactly once. Junk before the first lock (a capture that starts mid-packet) is not a loss and is only counted in ResyncStats::dropped_bytes.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§offset: u64

Byte offset, from the first byte ever fed, where the discarded span starts.

§dropped_bytes: u64

Length of the discarded span in bytes.

§packet_index: u64

Number of whole packets emitted before this loss, i.e. the index the next intact packet will carry.

§truncated_tail: bool

true when the span is a truncated trailing packet found by TsResync::finish rather than a sync loss in mid-stream.
