ClientAuth

Enum ClientAuth

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum ClientAuth { None, Optional(Vec<PathBuf>), Required(Vec<PathBuf>), }
Expand description

Whether connecting clients are asked for a certificate, and against what.

Asking for a certificate and validating one that arrives still admits a client that presents none; only Required turns a missing certificate into a failed handshake.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

None

Don’t ask for a client certificate.

§

Optional(Vec<PathBuf>)

Ask, and verify against these roots if one is presented. A client that presents none is still accepted.

§

Required(Vec<PathBuf>)

Require every client to present a certificate chaining to these roots.
