Deferred

Struct Deferred

Source
pub struct Deferred { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

A deferred segmenter whose records must be persisted before publication.

next returns a cancellation-safe Pending handle. Dropping the handle puts the record back at the front of the ready queue so another storage task can retry it.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Deferred

Source

pub fn track(&self, name: &str) -> Recorder

Enroll name without letting it influence segmentation.

Source

pub fn pacing_track(&self, name: &str) -> Recorder

Enroll name as a pacing track.

Source

pub fn cut(&self, pts: Timestamp) -> Result<()>

Declare a segment boundary at pts, overriding automatic minimum-duration pacing.

Source

pub fn reserve(&self) -> Reserved

Withhold complete records while a batch of tracks enrolls.

Source

pub fn section(&self) -> Archive

The catalog’s root archive entry describing records built by this segmenter.

Source

pub fn finish(self) -> DeferredDrain

Flush the final open segment and return a handle that can only drain pending records.

Source

pub fn next(&self) -> Option<Pending>

Take the next complete record for storage, if one is ready.
