pub struct FindingLocation {
pub byte_start: u64,
pub byte_end: u64,
}Expand description
What:
A byte range inside a candidate.
A struct is a record with named fields;
u64
is an unsigned 64-bit integer (siblings u32,
usize).
Why:
Content policies point at the exact bytes of a finding.
u64 holds any file
offset on every platform,
where usize would be 32 bits on a 32-bit system.
In TS you’d write (pseudocode):
type FindingLocation = { byteStart: number; byteEnd: number };Fields§
§byte_start: u64Offset of the first byte.
byte_end: u64Offset one past the last byte.
