What: Everything the commit command reads from the wrapped invocation. Why: The command needs the identity and the loaded configuration the lifecycle already resolved.

In TS you’d write (pseudocode):

{ rawArgs, gitPath, runtimeResolution, ... }

Fields

context: &'a GitContext

Real Git, its overlay and the global options.

environment: &'a [(OsString, OsString)]

The invocation’s environment.

arguments: &'a [OsString]

The arguments with the wrapper’s controls removed.

subcommand_index: usize

The index of commit within the arguments.

region: &'a CommitRegion

The commit options Git’s table read.

config: &'a CliGitConfig

The loaded configuration.

controls: &'a Controls

The wrapper controls given on the command line.
