ShapedGlyph

Struct ShapedGlyph

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub struct ShapedGlyph { pub glyph: u16, pub index: usize, pub units: &'static [WrittenUnit], pub form: Option<Position>, pub joining: Option<Position>, pub skipped: bool, }
Expand description

One glyph of a shaped run, as FontShaper::shape_glyphs reports it.

Fields (Non-exhaustive)§

This struct is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.
§glyph: u16

The glyph id in fonts/hudum.otf; fonts/hudum.glyphs.txt names it.

§index: usize

The char index of the input character the glyph comes from — for a ligature, of its first letter.

§units: &'static [WrittenUnit]

The written units the glyph shows; empty for a silent glyph (an FVS, the silent half of an idle MVS, …).

§form: Option<Position>

The position of the written form the glyph draws; None for a control.

§joining: Option<Position>

The joining position the glyph serves. Differs from form where a position borrows another’s form — an isolated N is drawn with N:init, so form is Init and joining is Isol.

§skipped: bool

A ZWJ the font’s ligature formation skipped: it sits between two letters of the preceding ligature, HarfBuzz moved it after the ligature, and FontShaper::shape drops it, as the redundant-ZWJ pass drops any joiner between two joined letter units.
