Struct MlxString

pub struct MlxString(/* private fields */);

Owned MLX string handle released exactly once through the official C API.

Implementations

impl MlxString

pub fn empty() -> Self

Creates an empty string handle for an output parameter.

pub fn set(&mut self, source: &Self) -> Result<(), MlxCError>

Copies the source string handle into this handle.

pub fn to_string_lossy(&self) -> String

Copies the owned string text into Rust memory.

Trait Implementations

impl Debug for MlxString

fn fmt(&self, f: &mut Formatter<'_>) -> Result

Formats the value using the given formatter.

impl Drop for MlxString

fn drop(&mut self)

Executes the destructor for this type.

fn pin_drop(self: Pin<&mut Self>)

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (pin_ergonomics)

Execute the destructor for this type, but different to Drop::drop, it requires self to be pinned.

impl FromStr for MlxString

Creates an owned string from host UTF-8 text, so "text".parse::<MlxString>() and MlxString::from_str both construct live handles.

type Err = MlxCError

The associated error which can be returned from parsing.

fn from_str(value: &str) -> Result<Self, Self::Err>

Parses a string s to return a value of this type.
