How the secret is presented to the signer. Some signers operate on raw bytes; others on opaque handles to keys held inside hardware.

Variants

KEY_FORM_UNSPECIFIED = 0

KEY_FORM_RAW_BYTES = 1

32 raw private-key bytes (Ed25519 / k256 / p256 seed or scalar). Only used by the file signer; rejected by hardware signers.

KEY_FORM_PKCS8_DER = 2

PKCS#8 v1 DER (RFC 5958). Accepted by the file signer.

KEY_FORM_OPAQUE_HANDLE = 3

Opaque handle (TPM persistent handle, CTAP credentialId, SE label). The signer interprets the bytes; mkit treats them as opaque.
