Struct Position 

pub struct Position(pub u64);

0-based index of a commit within its branch’s MMR.

In commonware’s vocabulary this is a Location — the leaf index in insertion order, not the MMR’s internal node position. The first commit appended is Position(0), the second is Position(1), etc. Stable for the lifetime of the branch: positions never shift because the MMR is append-only.
