Expand description

Errors produced by parse.

Per ir-write-surface.md § 8 — fail-fast on first violation, no partial recovery.

Variants§

§

Lex(LexError)

The lexer failed before the parser could start.

§

UnexpectedToken

Got a token that isn’t allowed here.

Fields

§found: Token

The token we saw.

§expected: &'static str

Human-readable description of what was expected.

§pos: Position

Position of the token.

§

UnexpectedEof

Input ended before the parser could complete a form.

Fields

§expected: &'static str

Human-readable description of what was expected.

§

UnknownOpcode

The opcode at the head of a form isn’t one of the registered ten.

Fields

§found: String

The offending opcode text.

§pos: Position

Position of the opcode bareword.

§

BadKeyword

A form received an unexpected keyword.

Fields

§keyword: String

The offending keyword.

§form: &'static str

The form being parsed.

§pos: Position

Position of the keyword.

§

DuplicateKeyword

A keyword appears twice in the same form.

Fields

§keyword: String

The offending keyword.

§pos: Position

Position of the second occurrence.

§

MissingRequiredKeyword

A form is missing a required keyword.

Fields

§missing: &'static str

The missing keyword.

§form: &'static str

The form being parsed.

§

ArityMismatch

A form has the wrong number of positional arguments.

Fields

§form: &'static str

The form being parsed.

§expected: usize

Expected positional arity.

§found: usize

Actual positional arity.

§pos: Position

Position of the form’s opening paren.

§

ExpectedValue

A RawValue was expected but a non-value token was found.

Fields

§found: Token

The offending token.

§pos: Position

Position.

§

UnbalancedList

A list parse saw unbalanced parens.

Fields

§pos: Position

Start position of the list.

§

ExpectedSymbolInList

A list position required symbols but saw a non-symbol value.

Fields

§found: RawValue

The offending value.

§pos: Position

Position of the list.

§

InvalidTimestamp

An ISO timestamp value could not be normalised to a ClockTime.

Fields

§text: String

The raw timestamp text.

§pos: Position

Position of the timestamp.

§

NestingTooDeep

Parser nesting exceeded MAX_NESTING_DEPTH. Surfaced before the recursive descent blows the host stack — closes Security F3 (P2) from the v1.1 fresh assessment. Triggered by inputs like (((…))) of pathological depth, whether through nested list values (parse_valueparse_value_list_body) or through nested correct forms (parse_correctparse_form).

Fields

§pos: Position

Position where the over-limit nesting was attempted.

§max: usize

The hard limit (currently MAX_NESTING_DEPTH).
