PrivateRecordContext

Struct PrivateRecordContext

Source
pub struct PrivateRecordContext { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

Values bound to one private record and its Golden decryption shares.

The format version is part of the context, so both encryption layers authenticate it. A record that holds one format cannot be read as another format.

Implementations§

Source§

impl PrivateRecordContext

Source

pub const fn new( chain_id: PrivateRecordChainId, key_epoch: StorageKeyEpoch, transaction_id: TransactionId, ) -> Self

Creates a context for a new record in the current format.

Source

pub const fn with_format_version( chain_id: PrivateRecordChainId, key_epoch: StorageKeyEpoch, transaction_id: TransactionId, format_version: PrivateRecordFormatVersion, ) -> Self

Creates a context for a stored record in the given format.

The caller must supply the version that the record was sealed with. A different version produces a context that fails to authenticate the record.

Source

pub const fn chain_id(&self) -> PrivateRecordChainId

Returns the chain identifier.

Source

pub const fn key_epoch(&self) -> StorageKeyEpoch

Returns the storage key epoch.

Source

pub const fn transaction_id(&self) -> TransactionId

Returns the transaction identifier.

Source

pub const fn format_version(&self) -> PrivateRecordFormatVersion

Returns the record format version.

Source

pub fn to_bytes(self) -> Vec<u8> ⓘ

Returns the canonical context used by the record cipher and Golden.

Source

pub fn try_from_bytes(bytes: &[u8]) -> Result<Self, PrivateRecordError>

Parses a canonical schema version 1 context produced by Self::to_bytes.

Rejects any input whose domain tag, length, or format version differ from schema version 1, or whose transaction id is not canonical.
