Struct Metadata

Source
pub struct Metadata(/* private fields */);
Expand description

Metadata for a metric.

Metrics can have arbitrary key-value pairs stored as metadata. This allows for labelling them with whatever metadata you may find relevant.

Implementations§

Source§

impl Metadata

Source

pub fn new(map: HashMap<String, String>) -> Self

Create a new metadata map from a hashmap.

Source

pub fn is_empty(&self) -> bool

Indicates whether this metadata instance is empty.

Source

pub fn len(&self) -> usize

Get the number of entries contained within this metadata instance.

Source

pub fn contains_key(&self, key: &str) -> bool

Determins if key is in Metadata.

Source

pub fn get(&self, key: &str) -> Option<&str>

Get the value that key corresponds to.

Source

pub fn iter(&self) -> MetadataIter<'_>

Return an iterator over the entries of this Metadata.
