One rewind target: a user message’s position in the conversation plus a one-line excerpt for the picker row. Never rides in a Msg (the whole flow is Key-driven), so no serde — record/replay work unchanged.

Fields

message_index: usize

Index into conversation.messages of the user message; the fork keeps messages[..index] and pre-fills the composer with this one.

excerpt: String

First line of the message, clipped for the picker row.
