Why a gen-2 config could not be migrated to a v1 binding. Every variant names the offending ingest so the failure is diagnosable without re-reading the store.

RefinementModeDeleted

The ingest declares build mode refinement — deleted from the binding vocabulary (D1). Not migrated: refinement-as-writer is gone, so there is no v1 shape to carry it into.
