Whether a durability answer was established or inferred.

The distinction exists because the engine’s answer is derived from the mount kind, which is honest about surviving a restart and says nothing about the write having reached version control. A folder mem is the case that matters: its writes land on disk, so durable is true, and whether anything could recover them is a question the engine cannot answer at all.
