pub enum ReaderThread {
IoUring,
DpdkPoll,
}Expand description
What the reader entry of --cores pins on a given transport. The
two threads wait differently, and one of them cannot take a policy
at all.
Variants§
IoUring
The io_uring reader (kernel TCP). It blocks in the kernel between completions, so its entry’s policy governs only the input ring it produces into.
DpdkPoll
The DPDK NIC poll thread. It polls the device unconditionally and
never idles, so it busy-spins whatever its entry says; a y on
the reader is refused rather than silently ignored.
