CLI spelling of melin_journal::StagingMode.

A separate enum rather than a clap::ValueEnum derive on the journal type: melin-journal has no clap dependency and should not acquire one for a flag: the crate is a library first, and its callers are not all command-line servers.

Variants

ZeroFill

Pre-write every staged segment so appends generate no extent-conversion metadata. Costs one extra pass over each segment in device bandwidth.

Allocate

Allocate staged extents without materialising them. No staging bandwidth; appends convert extents and fdatasync periodically forces the filesystem log.
