A single problem detected on a page.
Variants§
BrokenInternalLink
A <a href> whose internal target does not resolve.
BrokenMediaReference
A media element (<img>, <video>, <audio>, <source>) whose
internal src does not resolve.
UnresolvedWikilink
A literal [[...]] that was not transformed into a link.
FrontmatterParseError
The YAML frontmatter block failed to parse, so the entire frontmatter (including otherwise-valid fields) was discarded.
ConfigParseError
The repository’s .mbr/config.toml could not be loaded, so every page
is rendered with the default configuration. Repository-wide, so it is
reported on every page. Only an embedder that falls back rather than
failing (the iOS app) produces it; the desktop refuses to start.
RelationshipCycle
Two or more notes form a parent/child cycle, which is impossible in a real family tree and makes the genealogy chart unrenderable.
Fields
AmbiguousRelationshipEndpoint
A relationship endpoint named a title/alias shared by several notes; mbr silently resolved it to one of them.
Fields
ContactDataProblem
A contact field (aliases, phones, dates, …) on a type: person /
type: organization note had an entry mbr could not read, so the card
skipped it. See contact::ContactProblem.
Fields
AmbiguousWikilink
A [[Wikilink]] in the body named a title/stem shared by several notes;
mbr silently resolved it to one of them.
Fields
UnplayableMedia
A media file that resolves and is served correctly, but whose track
layout matches a combination implicated in browser decode failures.
Detected by probing the container (see
video_metadata::probe_playback_compatibility), so it is server/GUI
only and requires the media-metadata feature.
This is a heuristic hint, not a verdict — the combination it looks for
is necessary but not sufficient, with a known false positive (see
video_metadata::WEBKIT_RISKY_DATA_TAGS). The browser’s own
MediaError is the only ground truth for “this did not play”, so the
frontend surfaces these entries solely to explain a failure it has
already observed, and never as a standalone warning.
Unlike Self::BrokenMediaReference, kind describes the media
type (video) rather than the HTML element, because the diagnosis is
about the file, not about which tag referenced it.

Source§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);Set foreground color to white using white().

fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};

Source§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling Attribute value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().

fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
Source§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi Quirk value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();Source§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
Source§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the Condition value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
