#[non_exhaustive]pub enum ClipMode {
Clipped,
Unclipped,
}Expand description
How a Slicer cuts lines and polygons into the tiles they reach (points are never cut, so they
ignore it).
Both modes slice the same inputs to the same tiles, with one difference in failures: a clipped
slicer can still fail building a piece too large to index (GeometryTooLarge) where an
unclipped one, which builds nothing, succeeds.
Variants (Non-exhaustive)§
This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Clipped
Each tile gets only the part of the geometry that touches its buffered box: a line’s runs, a
polygon’s piece (with synthetic corners), or a FillRun for tiles it covers entirely.
Unclipped
Each tile the geometry reaches — exactly the tiles Clipped gives anything —
gets the whole geometry, once, in that tile’s local frame: a line as a single
LineSlice of all its vertices, a polygon as a PolygonPiece of all its rings (also in
every tile it covers entirely: no FillRun is yielded). For renderers that clip themselves.
