A generic code element. e.g. function, module, type, … [req(“trace.element”)]

Fields

ident: Option<String>

The fully qualified identifier of the element. [req(“trace.element.ident”)]

name: String

The element name.

Note: This is not the fully qualified identifier.

definition_line: Line

The line the element is defined at.

Note: This might differ from span.start, because in Rust for example, attributes & doc-comments are part of the span, but the definition of an element starts below them.

The line span of the element. [req(“trace.element.span”)]

kind: ElementKind

The kind of the element. [req(“trace.element.kind”)]

content_hash: Option<FmtHash>

The SHA256 content hash of the element.
