Pending

Awaiting first delivery attempt.

InFlight

Currently being delivered by a worker.

Delivered

Successfully accepted by the remote MX.

Failed

Last attempt failed; will retry per backoff schedule.

§

Bounced

Permanent failure; will NOT retry. A DSN has been queued back.
