What the loop decided to do next. Pure, so the policy is testable.
Variants§
Wait
Checks are still running; re-read the pull request after POLL.
Rebase
The base moved and the branch no longer merges: rebase it.
Not a fix round. Nothing is wrong with the change - a competition that runs for two hours against a repository merging pull requests all day conflicts on the way in, and that is arithmetic rather than a defect. Pull requests 35 and 37 were both rebased by hand for exactly this.
Fix
Red checks or unresolved comments; run a fix round.
Merge
Green and nothing outstanding; merge it.
Done
The pull request left our hands.
GiveUp
Stop and leave the pull request to a person.
