Expand description

Durability mode controlling when WAL writes are fsynced to disk.

Variants§

§

Full

fsync after every append(). Every acknowledged write survives a crash. Highest write latency.

§

Batch

fsync on explicit sync() only (typically called during commit). Default mode. Uncommitted writes may be lost on crash, but committed data is always durable.

§

None

No explicit fsync — rely on OS writeback. Fastest. Suitable for ephemeral or rebuildable indexes.
